Free trees for communities & schools (Woodland Trust)
Hundreds of thousands of free trees available.
Who can apply:
- You donβt need to belong to an official organisation. You could even set up a group for the purpose of planting, but you must be not-for-profit. The most important thing is that your group is willing to take on the planning, planting and care of the saplings.
- Schools across the UK, plus nurseries, colleges, universities and outdoor learning centres
- All kinds of different groups such as resident associations, sports clubs, parish councils, scouts, guides and many more.
We make two deliveries a year, in March and November. We’re currently taking applications for tree packs to be delivered in March 2025. Applications are expected to close in January, or sooner depending on stock availability.
Before you start youβll need to:
– Know the six digit grid reference for the land you wish to plant using their grid reference finder
– Have permission from the legal landowner
Follow the button below. You’ll be able to see the various tree packs available. To apply for the free trees scroll down to where it says ‘Request a free tree pack for your school or community’ and tap the ‘Apply Now’ button.
