Free surplus food from stores including Lidl & Aldi
You can get informed about free surplus food available from your local stores via Neighbourly. Lidl are onboarding on this scheme too this year (starting with their branches in the Midlands) as part of their ‘Surplus Saviours‘ program partnering with Neighbourly.
Aldi, Sainsbury’s, B&Q and many other stores already use the Neighbourly platform for free surplus food.
To date, Neighbourly has facilitated the distribution of over 300 million meals worth of surplus food, 297,000 volunteer hours, 5,200 tonnes product donations and Β£43M in local funding, with a total social value impact of over Β£1.8 billion.
