What is the Vichy Skin Société?

The Vichy Skin Société is our online community made for all Vichy lovers to chat to each other and our brand experts about all things skincare and haircare. A key element of being on the community is to complete missions and gain points so you can reach the next status and receive exclusive rewards.

So, how do I get started on the Vichy Skin Société?

This online community has been designed for you to get to know other skincare enthusiasts, so we absolutely encourage you to like, comment and share your thoughts and advice with other community members! Our Vichy brand experts are on the community and there to share their expert advice, however we love hearing from you and what you think.

The platform is designed much like a social media platform, so it is based around you posting in different groups and interacting / completing tasks in different channels.

Finding your way round the Vichy Skin Société?

We wanted to introduce you to a few key places on the community that you’ll want to know about to get the most out of your experience.

In the side menu you will see 3 sections.

Let’s learn a bit about each…

1. Activities

These are the different actions you can complete on the community. It is here you can complete missions, sample products, sign up for exclusive events and take our surveys. These are all separate links underneath this title.

2. Groups

This is where you can share your own content and have conversations with other community members. The groups are split out into different themes to help you find likeminded members. The two key channels to know about are:

Vichy Says – the announcement channel where the admins will post important updates / information.
Let’s Talk About – this is your open channel where you can discuss and share anything that doesn’t fit into the other groups.

3. Inbox

This is where you can have 121 conversations with other community members and admins. Your conversations will appear in the side menu.

Understanding your profile

When you go on your profile you can see your personal information and your progress with missions to reach the next status. You can edit your profile here also. Your general profile is visible to other members of the community; however, your skin profile is only visible to admins.

Completing missions and earning points

In order to reach the next status you need to complete missions and earn points. Points are ‘water drops’ in this community to embody the basis of the Vichy brand which is its Vichy Mineralising Water.

You can access your missions through ‘My Missions’ in the side menu. Some of these missions need to be validated by an admin as we require you to submit proof before we add the points to your account. This can take around 3 days and we do not validate over the weekend. Please wait until 3 days have passed before contacting an admin for help.

Reaching the next Status

We have multiple statuses in the community for you to progress through. You can find out more about these below.

Each status has specific missions attached to it so you need to complete these missions to level up. To find out how to level up you need to:

1.Go to your profile at the top left of the side menu
2.Scroll down to where it says ‘Next Status’
3.View the missions shown that you have left to complete

Testing and Reviewing Products & Samples

Each month on the Vichy Skin Société we offer community members a chance to try out some of our favourite full size products or samples. You can access both these channels in the side menu under ‘Activities.’

We hand select community members for the full size product testing. This is done based on the answers to your product testing profile. We choose members so we can ensure the products are relevant to your skin type and skin concerns to ensure you have the best possible experience with our products and achieve your desired results with your skincare.

The sampling campaigns are not hand selected and run on a first come first serve basis. Sometimes we will ask members to perform an action or complete a mission for access to the campaign.

Skin Société Gallery

We love seeing your content so we’ve created the Skin Société Gallery to showcase the best of your content. We have certain criteria we are looking for in the Gallery. We love to see your original content in the Gallery so please don’t post anything that isn’t original or that you haven’t taken. This includes screenshots of images or the website etc.

Menopause Group

We have a dedicated group for conversations around Menopause. Vichy have built a menopause hub on their website and are proud to be the brand that is dedicated to breaking the taboo and offering skincare advice tailored to this tricky period.

We have purposely made this a private group to ensure posts are only seen to members who are interested in this content and who will be sharing themselves.

To join this group you need to:

1. Go to your profile

2. Scroll down to the bottom of your profile where it says ‘Groups’

3. Click ‘Apply to be a Menopause Group Member’

4. Write a short statement as to why you would like to join and submit the request

Where to go for help?

We know sometimes things can go wrong or not quite to plan and when this happens you’ll want to ask us for advice on how to resolve the issue. This is when you can message our admins for help.

How do I find out how many followers I have?

You can currently check your number of followers by heading to your profile and to "show more".

How do I get my post validated by an admin?

Our admins only validate the top content on the Vichy Skin Société but if you’re hoping to get your content picked make sure you stick to the following guidelines when sharing on the community:

The post explains in detail why you love this product and how you use it
The post is skincare, haircare or menopause related
Images are clear and high quality with good lighting
Videos have good sound quality and lighting
Images and videos are original
No other brands are present in the post

How do I claim a product for testing?

Once you’ve received your email inviting you to test a product you need to completethe following steps to claim your product for testing:

Head to the Test and Review Products channel
You should see a product on this channel with two buttons underneath. You can choose to click "Test Me" if you’d like to test the product, or you can deny the test by clicking "No thanks".
If you choose to test the product you then need to check your address details are correct so we can ensure the product is sent to the right address.
Once you’ve updated this information then you just need to wait for a notification that your product has been shipped.

How do I get help, or resolve a technical issue or query if something goes wrong?

If you’re looking for some advice on how to use the community, have questions about your missions, points, statuses, products and samples, or if you’re having technical issues that need to be resolved please message our Vichy account here and they will come back to you in 2-3 days.

What is the product tag?

The product tag was made for you to show other members of the community the product related to your post. Products tagged information are available on Vichy website when you click on the tag.

How to tag someone on the platform?

To tag someone, use the key "@" and you will have access to all the members of the platform. You also get notified when someone else tagged you in a post or a comment.

How does the ranking work?

Based on the number of points you’ve earned on the community, there are currently two types of ranking ("All time” and “Monthly") updated every evening. In your profile, click on the ranking to find out.

How can I receive news from the community?

To be aware of activities on Vichy Community (new event, new competition…), go first to your profile.
In Edit my Profile activate the button "Send me an Email" in the Notification Settings. You will receive news about the community.

How to earn a lot of points?

The best way to earn points is to regularly check and complete your missions.
As a reminder, new missions are added every month and are accessible through "My Missions" in the Side Menu. We would also recommend being active in the community by regularly participating in our competitions, testing our products, and taking part in our events.

Is it possible to delete or edit my post?

The three little dots in your comment allow you to delete and edit any of your posts.

Where to check my previous post?

All your published posts are visible in your "Profile" through Publications.
